The World of Gaiah is a campaign setting created for the Rolemaster system. The main campaign area, the country of Orthlan, has a destinct Renaissance feel. However, Gaiah is a world in which the past refuses to be forgotten. The main theme of the campaign is the conflict between past wisdom and new knowledge. This is particularly represented in the struggles of the people of Faerie to retain their powers over mortals, inspite of the new ideologies that threaten to replace them.

GMs are free to use the Gaiah Campiagn in its entirety if they wish. Most GMs will probably only want to use part of the setting though; absorbing the parts they like into their own world and disgarding the rest. This is how it should be; once a group adopts a world for their game it becomes their world, to do with as they wish.

The materials available below (with the obvious exception of the Player's Guide) are presented for GMs. They contain details on Gaiah's history, peoples and places that should only become available to players as their characters explore the world.
